macros provide better dictation speed, accuracy, and ease-of-use.In addition, custom macros allow for mobility around the computer,
better formatting, better correcting, and the ability to dictate and work
in other programs such as WordPerfect, Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel. CompuTALK macros
have over 1000 custom macros, which do the
above while improving efficiency.
Many
people want to know what kinds of things the custom commands do. The following
should help.
Deleting commands – Delete 1-99—deletes that many words from the
point of the cursor back.
Correcting
commands – deletes words in the correction dialog box so that inserting
the correct response is very fast, such as buzz 1-10 (takes the selecting off
then deletes that many words from the cursor back).
Formatting
commands – Bold 1-99—bolds that many words from the point of the cursor
back.
Navigation
commands – shortcuts for moving about the document such as, Beginning of
line and End of line.
Menu
commands – able to do any task in a Microsoft menu from a single command
such as, Print preview.
Outlook
commands – provides a great deal of functionality within Outlook such as
able to access any program within Outlook with a single command.
NaturallySpeaking
commands – able to access any function in NaturallySpeaking by using a
single command.
Text
Commands like My Address are ones you can easily add. Just say “Add New
Command” and the box comes up for you to insert the command name and then the
text.
